Nepal for Christ

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen” ~ Matthew 28:18
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you: And ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” ~ Acts 1:8
How it all Began:

I was sitting at my desk looking through the mounds of bulletins, announcements, and other mailings that preachers regularly have to sift through. Much of it went directly into the circular file. But I always paused to review the missionary efforts throughout the world. As I sat and pondered God’s work in foreign areas, I felt a strong passion for becoming involved. My interest began to turn towards India. As I read of the great strides being made for the lord there, I became more and more drawn to that area of work. I learned that a preacher could be supported for around sixty dollars a month. I decided that I would commit to supporting one man for ten years until I retire. But how would I know whom to support? I decided to travel to India personally, interview local men to find someone qualified but unable to preach because of a lack of funds, and take on his support. This is how my work in Nepal began.
